The moon in Ubud.
Walking in the moonlight,
I am startled by sparrows leaving the banana leaf branch.
Listening, the croaking frogs concur.
Smelling the sweet smell of the rice fields promise success.
Beyond the shadowy clouds, star twinkle.
Walking in the light of the moon, a couple raindrops sprinkle.
I hear pipits shrill in the sticky midnight breeze.
Passing a bamboo and stone structure alongside a village temple.
Where wafts of incense permeate and bring pause.
As the winding narrow path leads me to my hut.
Nestled near the center of this lush jungle.
My eyes feel complete, enough now.
As I close them and drift into a dreamy slumber.
