Why do I lead with my heart?

Despite the drama

Which often carries ample trauma

Life will tease

It is not my place to please

My past provided plenty of rope

Now unrestrained to find new hope

A man I met who preferred to elope

Brought light & delight to areas remote

Confinement of my soul no longer exists

Next up – discovery of bliss

Excuse me, I do not mean to gloat

Learning to love has been my freedom to float
